Dear God,

A waterfall of living spirit flowed from heaven and filled all those seated in the circle, for we had roamed the desert with you.  We listened as each one shared the sacred learnings at your feet.  We had eaten eternal fruits.  We had chanted the sacred mysteries of the psalms.  We had found one voice with which to sing, one song, yours.

You astounded us, O Lord, as we walked among the scrub and trees.  You led us to the river where living water flowed.  You spoke to us through the birds, deer, and howling coyotes all singing their own song to you.  You came in the morning sunrise and the evening sunset.  You called out as the bells chimed breaking the silence calling us to worship.  You lifted our eyes to the heavens where the twinkling stars displayed the grandeur of your glory.  You called our names reminding us we are children of the heavenly king.

As we shared one with the other, we leaned in to you and one another making our offering of praise and thanksgiving.  You had been with us in mighty and powerful ways.  Your spirit wind had moved us inspiring us to unwavering faith.  Once again, like so many times before, we celebrated your miracle ways and unfailing compassion.

Merciful God,
thank you
for the gifts
of the desert.
Thank you
for opening us
to your
spirit wisdom.
Thank you
for making us pilgrims.

Love always, Andrea
