Dearest God,
You bid us come to worship, to be with you, to sing your song, to pray your prayer, to elicit your help, and to offer praise and thanksgiving. You invite us into your house. You feed us manna. You give us living water. You share your message of hope. You ask us to join you in praying for those who are burdened down, whose load is heavy, whose sorrow is deep. You give us peace.
Today we experienced all this at San Francisco de Asis Mission Church in Taos, New Mexico. It was apparent your people came longing for Jesus. We did too as we slid into the pew and onto the kneeling bench. Your kindness and mercy were palpable as we offered one another the peace of Christ.
We fed on your word, taking in every morsel you offered. We were filled; we were full; we went out returning the favor grateful, grateful indeed.
Holy Father,
make your
presence known
as we gather
as one body.
Teach us
to feed
one another,
we pray.
Love, Andrea
