Dearest God,

In minutes my covenant group will meet for our weekly conference call.  We will begin with silence, allowing our whole selves to enter into the holy of holies as we open ourselves to your wondrous spirit.  As we find our way to the spiritual center, I will lead our devotion from Paul's letter to the Ephesians.  I will read Ephesians 3:14-21 and hear once again the great truth that sets us free.  Entitled "The Love of Christ" we will breathe in the promise of Christ making his home in our hearts.  Although I believe that wholeheartedly, I rather like to think of us making our home in Christ's heart.
I will offer prayer for our group, the monastic communities who have breathed new life upon us in their homes of faith, and the world.  Susan will share as God leads us in spiritual direction.  I will end with prayer.

What gift this group is to me!  Years ago I could never have imagined being a participant in such a covenant gathering for 26 years.  In my wildest imagination I could never have believed that my greatest spiritual growth would take root in a Catholic monastery.  I could not have envisioned having spiritual tools that would aid me in the spiritual journey.  I could not have foreseen the great love I would feel coming from you; nor could I have believed it possible to love you as much as I do now and that love continues to grow.  But you knew, Lord, you knew what you wanted for me, for us.

As I make ready to join my friends in our time with you and one another, my heart wells over in deep appreciation.

Great and Gracious God,
thank you
for the beauty
of living faith.
Thank you
for holy moments
that revive
our spirit,
renew our enthusiasm,
and restore
our confidence.
Be blessed,
my Lord,
be blessed!

Love always, Andrea
