Dear God,

Whenever we lose our focus on you, our troubles grow.  Our worries and anxieties increase.  Our joy fades and peace is hard to come by.  But when we lift our eyes to the heavens, we find strength in our trouble. Peace helps us overcome our worries and anxieties.  Joy returns because we find our hope in you.  Faith makes all this possible.

Our blessings multiply when we trust in you.  We may still have difficulties because life is not perfect.  We do not receive everything we want.  Yet, in the midst of adversity, faith gives us all we need to move through the situations that confront us.

Sometimes we forget just how near you are.  We imagine you far away.  Even though spiritual drought may strike, we know that we know that we know your love never ends.  You never abandon us.  You do not turn your back on us.  We are your first love because you made us with a part of yourself.  Such love moves us to our knees in prayer enabling us to give praise to our Maker.

Always show us
the way home.
Renew our faith
so we
may trust you
more fully.
