Dear God,

We do not have to look far to find gifts of your making.  Friendships that are long and enduring remind us there is a God who loved us from the beginning.

A woman retreatant spoke of a friendship lasting 45 years.  Her face displayed the love and appreciation she had for a friend who recently died.  Her heart was sad but the memories lingered.

As we look around we find you waiting for us at the intersections of our life.  No matter where we turn, you are there.

your qualities,
unconditional love,
compassion,
and acceptance.

for joy
that comes
easily between friends.
Thank you
for holy moments
to remember.
