Dearest God,

You are the answer before our question is formed.  As we move through life with doubts and fears, with questions and perplexing situations, and with losses and injustices, we can feel so alone and trapped right where we are.  Yet, all the while you are working to bring hope, healing, and guidance.

The world is filled with complications, complexities that frustrate and confuse.  When we live without you as a real presence, we can wander and stray away from all that is important.  We can live a lesser life.  Yet, all the while you are working to bring hope, healing, and guidance.

We grow older each day while fears niggle their way into our minds and souls.  When, where, and how can plague our minds.  Yet, all the while you are working to bring hope, healing, and guidance.

There is no place where you do not exist.  There is no time when you are not with us.  There is no situation that can tear us away from you.  Why?  Because you work to bring hope, healing, and guidance.

Father,
thank you
for the constancy
of your love
and mercy.
Thank you
for tending
to us
like little children.
Thank you
for your promise
to bring hope,
heal us,
and guide us.
