Dear God,

This morning we worshipped you at our little campground under the pines in our backyard.  We gathered around a cheap, little fire pit, six camping chairs seated around it.  Each one participated, making their offering to you.  Sophie and I read scripture.  Lucy prayed.  Rylan sang Jingle Bells.  Stella sang You are my Sunshine.  Gabrielle read a story from my book entitled Remember.  We remembered together the wonders of your grace as you blessed us separately and together.

As I sat in our small circle, I gazed upon the miracle of our togetherness.  I was so happy my insides nearly burst.  I witnessed the smiles of faith, the hope of love expressed, and the beauty of forgiveness.  Sitting in the great outdoors, I realized worship can erupt anywhere and certainly it erupted on that tiny parcel of sacred ground.

Wondrous Father,
thank you
for the miracle
of prayer,
faith, grace,
forgiveness, and generosity.
Thank you
for making worship
among us
under the pines.
Thank you
for blessing us
as I pray
we blessed you.

Forever yours, Andrea
