Dear God,

We listen and watch in amazement as your spirit moves in and among us.  As we trust you and one another, we engage in spiritual direction challenging, nudging, and encouraging one another to seek your face, to look deeply into our own souls, to share from our gut, to move, and to follow your will.  When we do so, we witness the greatness of your spirit fire in our lives.

Our covenant group was called together by you.  We took a long time to learn to trust you and one another but we knew there was much work to be done.  We also knew by faith you would do it in and through us.

Today was no different.  One of us shared with great clarity a decision that was three years in the making.  The discernment process, a gift from you, worked well as we gave ourselves over to you and we listened as questions came forth.  Much prayer, reflection, and spiritual discipline finally brought us to the answer.  We celebrated the process of trust and faith.

for taking us down
spiritual roads
where we
use the tools
you give us
to do
your will.
Thank you
for faith
that reveals
the truth
that both
sets us free
and moves us
along the journey
of life.
Thank you
for spiritual friends
who lift us up
in prayer,
hold our feet
to the
spiritual fire,
and lead us
to you.
