Dearest God,
Epiphany, a day to remember the kings' visit to the stable, the manger, the baby. I look forward to January 6 every year because it keeps me on task in faith. I read the biblical story and then think about faith and what I can bring to you.
Today my daughter had surgery. At day's end I know one gift I bring to you is gratitude, gratitude for a great doctor and hospital, a successful surgery, and good news about it. I bring you gratitude for a conversation with a granddaughter today who recognizes her need for help. I bring gratitude for joy received as my daughter's family and I played games and had a good time together waiting for surgery and recovery. I bring gratitude to you for an unexpected hope. I bring gratitude for the good way 2016 is unfolding. I bring gratitude for faith that keeps me focused on you.
Thank you
for Epiphany,
the story,
the account,
the gifts,
the joy,
the insights,
the hope,
and the turn
of events.
Thank you
for faith
that keeps unfolding.
Thank you
for love
that makes faith work.
Love always, Andrea
