Dear God,

The way to hope is a meandering path.  Sometimes it leads us to worship, to be in fellowship with the faith filled.  Sometimes it is a song, one that guides our heart toward comfort and joy and peace.  Sometimes it is a light that turns on in the darkness.  Whatever it is, it is a good path because it always leads us to you.

As the morning hymn sing leader, I invited each visitor to share their favorite hymn so we could sing it with them.  One after another held up their hand and told us the name of their song.  As we sang together, each person smiled.  One man nodded his head with a really big smile on his face.  Another gave me a thumbs up.  I wondered what they had hoped to find in church this morning.  Perhaps they found it in their favorite song with a church willing to sing it with them.

Through grace
we find hope.
