Dear God,
There is something so beautiful in the season between summer and fall. It is a time when summer flowers are fading, yet some holding strong but fall wants to come. The leaves want to turn and brighten the trees against Autumn skies before winter gray takes over.
This is the season of gratitude, a time to give thanks, to look around and be blessed by all summer has given. Truly summer colors lift the spirit and stir the heart. What joy it is to leave windows open for the cool night breezes to flow inside and to be outside during the day with warm air, sunshine, and summer rains. Yes, it is the time for thanksgiving.
My heart
is full,
O Lord,
full of love
for you.
Thank you
for inventory time
when we
reflect upon
all the gifts
of your spirit.
Thank you
for gratitude
that overwhelms
the human spirit.
Love, Andrea
