Dear God,

Wednesday morning may be the most holy day of my week.  It is the day when my covenant group, four pastors, ring into a conference line and enjoy an hour of silence, devotion, prayer, holy sharing and spiritual direction.  There is no group who offers greater acceptance, loving friendship, gentle accountability, caring prayers, and insightful guidance.  You are at the center of every group gathering.  You speak in powerful ways, bringing us to our knees in faith.

We pour out our hearts every Wednesday morning.  We share our struggles, our doubts and fears, our losses and heartaches.  But we look for your spirit moving, leading us deeper in faith and higher in peace and grace.  You push us, gently nudging us toward understanding.  You open our eyes, our ears, and our souls.  You fill us with your own spirit.  You challenge us to grow, to let go, and to soar like eagles and when we do, aaaahhhhh, what joy fills us from head to toe.

You are holy,
Lord;
you invite us
to be holy too.
You ask us
to be quiet,
to listen
in holy silence.
You speak
to us
always helping us
rise up,
to trust,
and to fly.
Thank you.

Love, Andrea
