Dear God,

Today you brought to me memories of my mother and father.  I thought about them in the early hours after my birth seventy years ago.  I was the first born of my parents.  It was a sweet memory especially since my parents have been dead for several years.

You give us memory so we can store up beautiful stories and pictures.  You give us tender moments made holy by your hand.  You bring to us miracles, healings, surprises, learnings, and valuable life lessons.  You come to us carrying the greatest times of our lives and we are very grateful.

filled us
with joy,
hope, and love.

for gratitude
that keeps us
in perpetual thanksgiving.
