Dear God,
Recently in a covenant group conference call, a colleague listened as I shared a slice of my life where I reported a number of issues in which I have no control to change things. Although at times I feel helpless, nonetheless, I have tried to go with the flow realizing there is a greater power than my own. I said. My colleague shared his vision of my plight. "You are like a rowboat without oars floating down the river with a special kind of anchor pointing you in the right direction."
I liked that thought. I liked it a lot. When he said it, I saw the picture. When I looked into my tiny boat, I saw inside a water bottle and a song. I realized that the bottle represented the living water you give us daily to drink, to quench our thirst, and to keep us healthy and well. The song, well, the song, is the spirit of your love, your kindness, and the joy that comes with wholly trusting you. Yes, I liked the thought, the vision, and the hope.
Thank you,
Guiding God,
for the
spirit awareness
you give us.
Thank you
for pictures
that form
when we
truly listen
for your voice.
Thank you
for compassionate love
that keeps us going.
Love always, Andrea
