Dear God,

Faith saves us, not just in an eternal sense but in every day living.  Faith saves us from worry.  Faith saves us from doubt.  Faith saves us from fear.  Faith saves us from lack of confidence.  Faith saves us from despair.  Faith saves us.

Lord, you did not make us divine.  You made us human.  Our humanness allows for worry, doubt, fear, lack of confidence, and despair.  We feel the whole gamut of emotions because we are human.  We are moved to joy but also to sorrow.  We are inspired to courage but also to question our own abilities.  We are pushed to anger by injustice but also to peace as we work toward justice for all people.  You made us human so when the divine comes, we know faith.

Holy God,
how great
is faith
to transform us
in our humanity.
Thank you
for joyous moments
of faith
that lift us
higher and higher.
Thank you
for inviting us
as children
of the
Living God.
