Dearest God,

Love leads us to truth.  Love leads us to grace.  Love leads us to faith.  What is love but you, O Lord?

No one woos us to love like you.  Love is pure, unconditional, and kind.  Love wants the best for us.  Love embraces us, warms us like being chilled and sitting before a roaring fire.  Love speaks gentle words.  It is tender and full of mercy. 

We all want love, need it.  We deeply desire that sustaining promise of living presence.  In love's presence we fall backwards, knowing we will be caught, trusting the One who holds us in arms big enough to cradle us like a newborn baby.

There are moments in life when you stop us, causing us to remember, reflect, and shift our thinking.  As we pause long enough to consider life in its deepest dimensions, we are enabled to see how love meets us, embraces us, and teaches us. Oh, how blessed we are.

Eternal God,
your love
reaches us
from the
farthest corners
and the
closest spaces.
When your love
touches us,
we are filled
to overflowing.

so much.
