Dear God,

You set me back on solid ground with family.  We have been distanced from one another for many reasons but you set before me an opportunity to step back into the circle and I did.  I set aside my own stubbornness, my belief I had no time, and my inability to come closer.  You opened doors and I walked through discovering the door was always open.

Oh what joy has flooded my soul sitting in the circle!  With an ailing cousin with stage 4 dementia and physical problems that put her in the hospital, an elderly aunt who fell and needed surgery, a granddaughter in psychological trouble, a cousin with stage 4 cancer, and a cousin who is going through testing to be put on a heart transplant list, you opened doors for us all to step inside.  There we were welcomed and were welcoming as if we were the prodigal son/daughter returning home.  To be close, to help, and to offer and receive love filled my heart, our hearts with so much joy, it is still spilling over! But that is just like you, O Lord, it is just like you!
