Dear God,
You give us opportunity to worship every week, for there we find you, ourselves, and the blessing of faith. I find such comfort, hope, and joy as we listen to the word proclaimed, sing the songs of faith, pray the Lord's prayer together, hear the scripture stories, and offer one another the peace of Christ. In one hour we can be so incredibly blessed.
As I sat in the pew I thought of your faithfulness the last few days. The ways you ministered to my family and to me. I considered the gifts of your spirit: hope, love, compassion, mercy, tenderness, wisdom, so many, too many to write down. There were all gifts of you, they were you.
Words of gratitude
are not enough
to express
my thanksgiving
for you.
You fill me,
you bless me,
you use me,
you challenge me,
you renew me;
all these
are your gifts
to an
undeserving child.
Thank you,
Holy Father,
thank you.
Love, Andrea
