Dear God,

"Weeping may stay for the night but rejoicing comes in the morning."  Ps 30:5  Today I felt joy return to my soul.  For nearly two weeks only sadness resided inside me because that is what loss can do.  But you promise there is both a season for sadness and a season for joy.  The beauty is realizing who brings the joy.

Sadness is heavy; it can weigh us down.  Dragging around the heaviness, it is tiring, exhausting really.  We can feel no energy.  But when the light comes and the weight is lifted even a little bit, joy has a space in which to return.  You make it happen, Eternal God, only you can make it happen!

Blessed are you,
Heavenly God,
there is
no god
like you.
How I
thank you
for the joy
I felt today.
Instantly I knew
the author
of my joy.
I smiled
and gave praise,
still am.

Love, Andrea
