Dear God,
Maundy Thursday, sacred silence, a love feast and worship service...aaahhh, what grace, beauty and peace. Here at the Benedictine monastery we find your presence so stimulating, so inspiring, and yet so peaceful. It was if we were sitting with you and your beloved friends. Perhaps we were.
It was by a fluke really that we rescheduled the retreat for Holy Week but then nothing is coincidence for you. You had us here for a purpose and we were/are living into that reality and finding it exceedingly meaningful.
Sitting in your presence is always breathtakingly beautiful.
Thank you,
Holy God,
for these minutes,
hours and days
at the monastery.
Thank you
for your
holy presence
keeping our faith alive
and fresh.
Thank you
for Holy Week,
for reminders,
awful and sweet.
Thank you.
Love, Andrea
