Dear God,

Every day you create opportunities for joy, hope and peace.  Although life may be hitting us hard with conflict, chaos or difficulty, still you give us reason to pause and give thanks.

I woke up early today and stood by the front window to watch the sky turn from black to gray to pink, blue and white.  What an exquisite display of rare beauty, although it happens every day and most of us miss it.  I sensed your presence in the moment of re-creation and I did indeed give thanks and praise.

Almighty and Everlasting Creator,
thank you
for the beauty
of nature.
Thank you
for color
that amazes
and wows.
Thank you
for loving kindness
that expresses itself
every day.
