Dear God,

I remember when we celebrated "ordinary" time in the Carmelite community.  Each Wednesday as our covenant group gathered with them for prayer and Holy Communion, we would read the scriptures, have silence, share, pray and dine at your table.  It was always a meaningful, joyful time.

What I learned about ordinary time is that no time with you is ordinary.  In ordinary time each experience of daily living is extraordinary.  To watch the sun rise or set every day is extraordinary.  For an insight to come, a vision to unfold or some holy moment to happen is indeed extraordinary.  To see the flowers, black raspberries and trees dance in the wind is holy, extraordinary.  Ordinary time gives opportunity for extraordinary time with you, to see life in a deep way and to realize any moment can be a holy, living moment of faith.

Thank you,
Extraordinary God,
for all
gifts of faith.
Thank you
for blessed moments
of your
living presence.
Thank you
for allowing us
to find you
in the
"ordinary" days
of life.

Love always, Andrea
