Dearest God,

How can we rid ourselves of what we are in order to become who we can be.  Little frustrations drive me through the roof.  I even swear and then I fall to my knees because I see and hear myself and I think, "Really, is this who you really want to be?  Can you not handle small frustrations for what they are and not become irritated and frustrated?"  Of course, I answer back, "No, Lord, this is not who I want to be.  I want to handle frustrations as invitations to increase my faith, grow my patience and trust more in you."

When St. Paul spoke to the people in biblical times, was his thorn the same as mine only different?  Although I am sure he fell victim to frustration, yet, at the same time he drew closer and closer to you always serving you and others for the sake of faith.  I want to be like that, like him, O Lord.

Help me,
Most Gracious Father,
to become
more and more
like you.
Show me
the way
again.
Please forgive
my tantrum.
You know
my heart.
Thank you
for keeping
the door
to your heart
open.

Love, Andrea
