Dear God,

For peace, for hope and for joy, we turn to you.  For you are the author of all these, dearest Lord.  There is no hope, peace and joy like yours.  We can find and make happiness.  We can build a life based on principle and purpose.  We can walk in serene places but none of these will offer the divine gifts that come directly from on high.

Periodically you ask me to pause and consider your many graces in my life.  When I pause, I see your hand.  I recall your acts of mercy, your amazing healings, your unwarranted kindness, your wisdom and your countless blessings.  In such moments I take no credit for myself but sit and dwell in gratitude and thanksgiving.  Who can say thank you enough to the creator of all gifts?
