Dear God,
You constantly surprise us with unexpected holy moments. Tonight my granddaughter, friend and I drove to a nearby town for a "full moon walk." We waited but no one showed up to lead us on the Eastern Trail. So an idea came to me to drive to a very small stretch of ground by the ocean. When we arrived the sun had set with just a bit of pink in the coastal sky. I pulled up into the gravel right next to the rocky coast and there we saw it...another beautiful ball of pink just barely peeking up out of the ocean water. We each picked out a huge boulder to sit upon and we simply sat, waited, meditated and breathed.
Over the course of the next 30 minutes the pink ball turned orange and finally more white and quietly and magnificently rose higher spreading its light across the water right up to our stones. It was if a beautiful, watery walkway had been created to allow us to walk upon the water and rise into the sky with that exquisite, colorful round sphere leading us up, up into paradise. We could not take our eyes off the wonderful scene unfolding before us.
One disappointment lead us to an unexpected sacred and holy moment!
You are God;
there is none
like you.
You provide
awesome moments
from which
to contemplate
and reflect
upon the wonders
of your creation.
Thank you
for leading us
to you.
Love always, Andrea
