Dear God,

There is really only one reason to gather for worship each Sunday morning.  The reason is love.  Love for you, our God, one another and for our world.  When we allow ourselves to be wooed to worship it is because your love has called us.  When we step inside your church, we have opportunity to be loved and to love back.

Love can make strangers friends.  Love can change resentment into better understanding.  Love can turn anger and even hatred into peace.  Love can create joy.  Love can give relief and release of all that is pent up inside.  Love can renew, restore and remake us.

This morning I was touched by love once again and I found myself filling up with love before I left.

Holy God,
you are love
at its best.
We are blessed
by who
you are
and what
you stand for.
Make us love too.
Change our world
with love,
O Lord;
we are desperate
for it.
