Dear God,

You give us hearts able to stretch and grow, to include others, strangers and friends alike.  You create us to care and care deeply.  You make us to help and heal one another with love.

The people of the Bahamas have endured great sorrow through the devastating hurricane.  It appears thousands are lost.  Many more have lost everything, family, homes, jobs, possessions and even the ability to care for themselves.  They hurt, O Lord, and we hurt with them.

Compassionate God,
you have
made us
for each other.
Teach us
how to help
and heal others.
Bless all those
who suffer greatly.
