Dear God,

As I sat on the couch reading my devotions and feeling helpless, sad and disgusted at our failure president in his handling of the Corona Virus, you summoned me to look outside my living room window.  There I watched and listened as birds playfully swooned and sang together.  You made it clear to me.  Birds don't know where their next bite of food will come; yet, they play and sing in the midst of it.

Every day you invite us to pause and reflect on life all around us.  You give us pictures of the spiritual life reminding us of hope present in you.  So often you use nature as a teacher.  This morning you asked the birds to speak to my ailing spirit and so they did...powerfully.

You are God;
there is none
like you.
You know
the heart
of every one
of your children.
You touch
and bless us
even when
we don't notice,
recognize or acknowledge.
Still, you
are God.
Thank you,
Blessed One,
thank you.

Love, Andrea
