Dear God,

Spring is the antidote to our fear and anxiety.  As we watch birds mate, sing, swoop, play and dance, we are less apt to be afraid.  When we watch daffodils dance in the breeze, we are less likely to be anxious.  In fact, O Lord, they invite us to dance with them.  The birds the same way, they invite us to sing.

Help us to remember that not long ago, everything was dark and dreary, brown and lifeless but as spring is springing, we can see there was always the hope and possibility that such a scene would emerge once again and it has.  Our darkness will turn to light once again.

God of Grace and Mercy,
we welcome you
into our
dark places.
Help us see
the light shining.
Help us be
shining lights
to all
who see
only darkness.
Breathe into
the air
of your
gracious love,
I pray.

Love always, Andrea
