Dear God,

Leaning on you is the only answer in conflict, chaos and confusion.  As we remain close to you, we find comfort, strength and courage.  You help clear our minds, open a way in our situation and help us see the way forward.  Sometimes just leaning is enough.

It is so easy to lose our way, forget about you and do our own thing.  But it never fully works out.  We are so bent on living life on the surface rather than trusting and rising higher where we can see better, where we gain perspective and find new solutions to old problems.  Why we insist on our own bearings instead of yours is beyond me; yet, I am one of those who falls to temptation.

It is in the midst of finding you at a leaning post nearby that we surrender our own will and find you waiting to welcome us back.
