Dear God,

When rain comes down, it cleanses, refreshes and renews.  The budding flowers, berry bushes and thirsty trees drink it down, quenching their thirst and making them new.  That's what happened today, a nice rain to feed the dry ground.

As always you spoke in the rain.  This is the living water that quenches the emotional and spiritual thirst of my people, you say in the misty fog.  And I drink it in too knowing I am just as thirsty as any plant surrounding our home and woods.  I need the living water from the Loving God who provides it.

Today we were both fed.

Thank you,
Almighty God,
for the gift
of your
wondrous spirit.
Thank you
for quenching
our thirst.
Thank you
for speaking
your word,
a word
of hope
for today.

Love, Andrea
