Dearest God,

I felt a rush of spirit air as Joe Biden spoke to the American people after being elected as the 46th president of the United States.  When he invited us to take a chance on each other after being so crazily divided for four years, tears welled in my eyes.  I felt healing begin at that precise moment.

I hadn't realized how long I had not really been breathing but fuming at the current president who sought to divide us, to create chaos, to fight, to demean, demand and hurt.  It was only when I began to take deep breaths that I discerned my own condition.  Breathing in your healing air felt good, oh so very, very good.

Holy and Living God,

thank you

for blessing us

with your answer

to our prayer.

Thank you

for compassionate mercy

that gives us

a chance

to come back together.

Thank you

for spirit air.
