Dear God,

This day was filled with gifts.  I texted happy Thanksgiving wishes to so many this morning.  I heard back from nearly every one.  It was lovely to connect with loved ones on such a high and holy day.

Then I spent the day with my daughter, her husband and two children.  We wore masks except when eating.  We played games masked.  We tried to keep social distance.  We attempted to spend time together in the restrictions of CDC guidelines of keeping ourselves safe. When we rolled in to our home at almost 10:00 p.m. my heart and soul were filled with gratitude.

Indeed, dear God, you gave me a very beautiful Thanksgiving day.

Gracious God,

thank you

for precious time

with friends

and family

near at home

and far

by text.

Thank you

for allowing us

to come together

in differing ways.

Thank you

for blessing us.
