Dear God,
This morning I listened as the rain fell. Because it was a gentle rain, I watched and listened. It felt like manna falling to earth to feed hungry souls.
We are a hungry people right now, O Lord. Millions are hungry for food, the kind that sustains the body but we are also hungry for food that nourishes the soul. We need calm, peace, compassion, tender care and much love. I suspect the Israelites needed that too when you rained down on them manna from heaven.
Every day you display your loving ways. This morning it was manna. Yesterday it was living water. The day before it was hope. All we need do is become attentive and look deeper into daily happenings.
Thank you,
Blessed Lord,
for the gifts
of your spirit.
Thank you
for manna.
Certainly you
fed my soul.
Love you, Andrea
