Dear God,

My beloved grandchild Charlie and I decided to spend part of today together.  At 16 I have watched this child grow in wisdom, faith, intellect, compassion and hope.  Although troubles come presenting themselves in difficult ways, Charlie seeks the depths to walk and live and be.

Such courage Charlie has.  Able to articulate in ways I could only hope for when I was a child, Charlie can be very clear and wise.  Charlie smiles with a whole heart.  The space is brightened when Charlie enters.  

At 74 I am awed that such a bright, loving child, teenager would spend time with me.  I see you in Charlie.

thank you

for peeks

into your spirit.

for blessing us

with Charlie.

Thank you

for bringing us together,

a grandma

and grandchild,

a student

and teacher,

a friend

and a friend.
