Dear God,

For some crazy reason we think ourselves to be powerful people!  Yet, today as I sat at the ocean watching the rain fall and the high, roaring waves break on shore, I was reminded of your almighty power in creating the cosmos.  Not one single person has your power, Mighty God.

But I was also reminded when we team up with you, when we take your lead and when we tackle the hard problems that face us, we are able to do more than we thought possible!  We share a power to do what we need to do.  There are so many examples of people doing impossible things.

As I reflect upon those close to me, I think of how some have overcome great difficulties when they trusted you to help them.  In my own life, my greatest accomplishments have come through linking myself to your love, compassion, wisdom, insight and leadership.  In those moments I do not take credit because I know that I know that I know your power was the source of my own.  Today as I consider all that has happened, I give thanks to you, Holy and Loving God.

from on high.

for leading us

to you,

for trusting you

and for

working with you

to achieve

whatever task

is before us.

Thank you

for blessing us

again and again.
