My dearest God,

The voices of God are many.  The trees, the animals, the sunrise and sunset, people and my own voice can easily sound like you, God of Many Voices.  So often trees swaying in the wind speak to me of rootedness, being rooted in the Divine.  Melodious bird songs challenge me to sing with them in praise of the creator.  Sunrises, sunsets and clouds in the sky tell of God's majestic presence in the world.  People's smiles remind me of your compassion and mercy.  And when I am living in faith, uniting my light and love with yours helps me bubble over with joy and peace.

Sometimes we think too small; we limit the multitudinous ways you reveal yourself to us.  We think you only work a couple of ways and then we are disappointed and walk away.  But when we open ourselves wide to your living presence always alive in us and around us, we have the privilege and joy of knowing you, living in you, walking with you, hearing you and celebrating life with you.  Today is just one of those kind of days!

Thank you,
Holy God,
for the gift
of today,
of your presence
and you voice.
Speak to me,
Loving God;
open my ears
so I
can hear.
Then open
my mouth
in praise
and thanksgiving.

Love, Andrea
