Dear God,

No matter which way I turn in the early morning hours, I see the light shining in the darkness.  The way the Christmas tree is situated, it reflects its lights in the study windows so when I sit in the chair by the fireplace, I am surrounded by light.

I believe that is true.  Your light is all around me like it is everyone.  If your light shines on one, it must shine on all.  You have no favorites or rather all are your favorites.  Your light is for everyone.

During the Advent season you shined brightly on me giving me so many opportunities to be the light for others.  As you brought ideas to me of those I could reach out to with your light, I took the challenge and shined warmth, love and help to people in need.  Every day there was someone, a family, an organization, people facing tragedy, troubled men and women.  You brought them all to me.  I just got to carry the light, your light to them.

Thank you,
Holy God,
for shining
your light
on me.
Thank you
for giving me
the light
to share
with others.
Every idea
was yours.
I simply
got to
carry the light,
what a privilege.

Love, Andrea
