Dear God,

When we forget to worship, we place ourselves at the center of our existence.  We work to bless ourselves in all we do.  We take full credit for all that we are.  We shine alone.

Yet, when we take an inventory of our creation, we quickly come to realize that we do not create our own flesh, our ability to understand or the very breath we breathe.  Our skills, talents and abilities are not something we are able to create alone.  You, on the other hand, are present in all these.

When we pause to give thanks to you, O God, our creator, we put things into perspective.  We recognize how blessed we are by our creator who gave us not only millions of human cells but everything else we possess.  When we worship, we gain humility, the spirit of gratitude and a loving relationship.  Help us never forget it!

Blessed are you,

God Most High.

Thank you

for reminding us

who we are

and by whom

we were made.

Thank you

for your

living breath

within us.
