Dear God,

As I was surrounded by family at our reunion, I remembered once again how all things are gifts from your hands.  We didn't just get together; we got together because you knew we needed each other.  We needed to hug, express our love to one another and to give thanks for sweet memories.  We needed to laugh, tell stories and offer expressions of thanksgiving.  We needed to acknowledge gifts from the past.

Every day is filled with gifts from your hand.  The sunrise, the gentle breezes, the birdsong, the flavorful cup of coffee, fresh fruit from the seasoned vine, a hug from a loved one, all these and more are beautiful gifts.  As the sun sets nightly, we have opportunity to remember and give thanks for all the gifts of the day.  Today was a special day with family, one I will not forget!
