Dear God,
Staying at a lighthouse for three days was a reminder of how vital the light is. In years gone by sailors trusted in the light to keep them away from rocky coasts that could sink them. They looked for the light in heavy fog and stormy seas. They knew the significance of the light.
But the same is true for those who live a life of faith. What good is life without the light? The light warms, embraces, clears, brightens and guides. This light is your light, O God; for your life is a constant source of your presence. When all else seems dark and scary, your light can reveal the truth that make our way clear. When we are afraid, we conjure in our mind all the spooky things that are out there to get us. But with the light hope is restored, fears are dissolved and love becomes apparent.
You are
the light,
Loving God.
Your light
is the
constant source
of your presence
for us.
Thank you
for the blessing.
Love, Andrea
