Dear God,

It's personal.  Calling you Father, Teacher, Redeemer, Rescuer and Helper are personal names for you.  For you are my father, teacher, redeemer, rescuer and helper.  You are also my comforter, guide and wisdom.  You are all these names and more to me personally.

When we speak of you as some far-off personality, we miss the link between the human and the divine.  We forget our binding of DNA that makes us kin.  We fail to acknowledge we are made in your image.

When I pray, I pray Father, because you are.
