Dear God,
When I gaze upon the lights of the Christmas tree when the room is dark, I am engulfed with the thought of your love for me. But with that knowledge comes the acknowledgement that as I am loved so are all people.
To believe I am loved is qualified by the fact that your love extends to all the cosmos. I am special because all your people are special. Each one is loved like the only one. Children all are we.
I leave my tree up for a long time because I love being loved and challenged to love all others like you. It is a mandate. If I am going to be a beloved child, then I have to accept all others in the same way. I am persuaded to love all your children.
Help me
to be
a lover
of all,
dear God.
Help me
be a
loving child.
Help all
your children
feel the love
I feel.
Yours, Andrea
