Dear God,

When did truth become lies and lies became truth?  By what evil force have we succumbed to that which is not truth?

It is true we sometimes massage truth in order to make life a certain way but in our heart of hearts, we know the truth and the lie we have created.  But today in our own country, politicians are living this way as matter of course.  Why?  Greed?  Power?  Authority?  How and when can we all fall to our knees together and pick up what is your truth, your way and your will?

Help us,

O God,

in this

mangled life

of lies

and deceit.

Show us

your holy way.

Cleanse our hearts,

minds, spirits,

hands, feet

and mouth

so we

can speak

holy truth

to you

and one another,

I pray.
