Dear God,

"Weeping may stay for the night but joy comes in the morning." This marvelous psalm came to me this morning.  Anyone who has gone from despair to joy knows the power of your spirit at work.  Such transformation is truly a miracle!

In counselling others I have watched persons labor in their suffering; yet, when an insight comes and hope is returned, there is truly divine rejoicing.  It is cause for celebration, gratitude and thanksgiving.  It is a time to give praise to you.

Many times I too have felt mired in loss and pain feeling as if there will be no end to it.  But then something will happen to trigger a new response.  When such sorrow is lifted, there is space and time for acknowledgement of your inspiration.  How happy I have been to dance with you because once I was dead but now I am alive as John the Revelator said so long ago.  Thanks be to God!
