Dear God,

There is so much pain and sorrow right now caused by needless war, personal tragedies, natural disasters, political chaos and life-threatening poverty.  So many are affected by loss, uncertainty and real woes.  There is only one who can fill us.

As I look out my window and see the gorgeous day, I think of the One who created the skies, the clouds, the sun, moon and stars, the trees, bushes and flowers.  I see your fingerprints on the colorful birds, playing children and the statue of St. Francis who loved every creature, great and small.  I feel the gentle breeze and I know the spirit behind the breeze.  Aahh, yes, I know there is one who can fill every soul.

for the scenes

outside my window

reminding me

of the One

who wants

to fill

every heart.

Help us see,

truly see

with eyes of faith.

Fill us 

with gladness

with which

to praise you.
