Dear God,

As the song goes, "How deep is your love?  I really need to know."  In trying times we need to know the extent of your love for us.

When we are searching for signs of your love, we can pause to remember former acts of such love.  When have I experienced God's love, I can ask myself.  I can recall to mind special kindnesses, healing moments and unexpected grace.  A time of remembrance can not only restore my doubt into belief but also strengthen my faith.  I can be moved to celebrate and give praise. 

I can also turn to the creation.  Every day in every season I can watch the trees sway to the music of your spirit love.  I can watch the flowers rise out of the winter soil and the bushes begin to bud.  I can also listen to the birds of the air sing their own songs of praise.
