Dear God,
Like a deer panting for water, so do I thirst for you, Living God. Today I repeated the psalmist's words because I too long for you. Whenever my heart is lonely, my mind troubled or my spirit anxious, I turn to the only one who is present to hear me. Sometimes I am so desperate, I crawl to you.
Walking the grounds of the monastery, the stations of the cross, the Lourdes grotto and the lake, I listened to the birds sing their praise to you. Totally dependent on you, they could only sing their joy. I couldn't help but sing mine too.
Thank you,
Holy One,
for all
your gifts today.
You led
me like
a blind woman
trusts her caregiver.
Thank you
for the birds
and their songs
of praise.
Love, Andrea
