Dear God,

Early this morning I opened my front door and gazed out upon a magnificent sunrise.  With colors of red, purple and pink, I watched until the sun rose just above the horizon.

I realize a sunrise is not just a beautiful sky of varying shades but rather a miraculous event that invites us inside to dwell with awe, gratitude and great joy.  It is not a simple, ordinary event.  It is so much more.  As we give ourselves to majestic events, we have the supreme opportunity to meet the Gracious Creator face to face, to experience faith and find peace.

God Most Holy.
