Dear God,

An unexpected gift came my way. Like a present dropped from heaven, I am living in gratitude.

My daily learnings at your feet never cease to amaze me. They give me cause to shift my thinking, to see the world in a different way, to understand better, to forgive, to accept grace, to let go, to change, to learn, to love. My minutes with you teach me more about being the kind of person you made me to be.

When the special prize was offered me, I grabbed hold. I thought of the times when I believed such a gift was impossible, improbable. But in the realm of the divine, nothing is impossible or improbable.

When I have complete trust in you, doors and windows are opened to new possibilities. My eyes see what was once veiled. I have learned that trust is the key to a meaningful life.

Sitting in a home I at one time could not have imagined being in, I walk through each room looking at pictures on the walls. Grandchildren at differing ages. I wander in wonder.
